Did anyone hear Karen Armstrong on desert island discs this morning? There is an article by her in the online magazine "Global Agenda" entitled:

She started out as a nun but quit her vows and has gone via academia and teaching into social, particularly religious,commentary. She no longer describes herself as a Christian but has a more pleuralist spiritulity with a special interest in Islam.
