Did anyone hear Karen Armstrong on desert island discs this morning? There is an article by her in the online magazine "Global Agenda" entitled: "Fundamentalism is here to stay" (scary thought)that might be of interest to theists and atheists alike. She started out as a nun but quit her vows and has gone via academia and teaching into social, particularly religious,commentary. She no longer describes herself as a Christian but has a more pleuralist spiritulity with a special interest in Islam.
