I can start the night in a Caribbean restaurant, go and watch an Indian movie and finish the night in a club that's having an Asian Underground night. What's not to love about that? If you broaden your social and cultural horizons it can only lead to a better understanding of other people and other countries. Ignorance breeds fear and hatred.
...well.....when my mum first came here in the 50's/60's she couldn't get hold of toothbrushes and soaps and creams and stuff. They were in short supply because english people were not mad for bathing and keeping clean. So the toiletries industry has a lot to thank westindians for..amen! Imagine how wiffy it would still be! hehe

What utter rubbish, are you aware that we had just emerged from a world war that had left this country devastated and rationing was still in place. I was born in the early 50s and I can assure you that we had toilet soap perfume and other toiletries when I was a child, even though many people did not have plumbed in bathrooms in those days and had to bathe in a tin bath, but bathe they did. It would have been god help the miners if we hadn't had soap.. how dare you suggest that people didn't wash.

There are no benefits is the short answer. We are told of all the benefits of Multiculturalism but only by a small group of people. Mainly immigrants and the politicians who allowed them here. first point, the audience was hand selected
second, there is a massive security flaw in electronic voting systems, how do the individuals know there vote is registered, they just watch a red bar dance around on the screen, any1 can intervene between the control pad the cpu and the monitor.

The BBC want us to find the killers of a man in Brum last week they offer a £5000 reward yet publish no descriptions!?!?!? WHY? because they were all black.
2 weeks ago a friend of mine was attacked by three asians who told him to "f**k off out of our country" the police refused to classify it as a race attack (apparently it doesnt happen to whites) hence he decided it wasn't worth pressing charges, and the police do nothing.
C4 seems to have a racist agenda, how else can delishus get away with a comment like that?? i would surely be banned for mentioning half of what she just said.

Do you realise that non whites (immigrants and past immigrants) make up only 7.1% of our population. 7.1% is hardly a lot, the thing is multiculturalism is being shoved down the necks of EVERYONE in our country by this GVT. More often than not it's not on behalf of non english communities.
To say that multiculturalism has done nothing for this country would be a gross lie. To say that right now it is doing nothing constructive, as in "in the name of multiculturalism" it is doing very little constructive is more to the point.
England was built on multiculturalism, we have been invaded countless times in our history and our culture as we have it today is representative of those times. Things we take for granted such as tea, even our beloved roast dinner we owe to the likes of India (colonial times) and the Romans....but very little people in this country are educated or clued up if you like.
Is english culture so frail that we need to wrap it up in a silk for safe keeping? Cultures evolve, without cultural evolution we wouldn't have our present culture.
Jack, just to point out to you you that America is a country built on multiculturalism. Regardless if you "like" america or not you should remember that they are the most powerful country on this planet.....for a country built on multiculturalism it's not doing too badly do you think?

We are continually led to assume that western society is tolerant and accepting to a wide cross section of people from a variety of differing backgrounds. People of different colours, religions and nationalities live together in this 'multicultural' society having accepted each other's differences by having mutual respect for other cultures. Thus living in peace and harmony without any problems of inferiority or discrimination between different races.
Nevertheless, in reality this is never the case. It is evident that the problem of racism still exists within western society, be this in terms of education, employment, crime or institutional racism. A survey done by BBC News Online shows that the predominant view amongst people is that the UK is still very much a racist society.
In the education system Muslims are forced to abide by the national curriculum thus indoctrinating the new generation of Muslims with the western culture by teaching them ideas such as the theory of evolution, the big bang theory, interfaith, free mixing, liberalism, biased western history, citizenship etc. Even Islaamic schools are obliged to adhere to the National Curriculum.
In society Muslim women wearing the Hijaab are looked down upon, as though they are repressed and forced to do so, Muslim men with beards are considered fanatical and potential terrorists, to the extent whereby employment will be refused based upon their outlook.
The Prophet (saw) said; 'I am free from those people who live amongst the kuffaar and don't distinguish themselves as Muslims.' And in another hadeeth, the Prophet (saw) said; 'I am free from those people who live amongst the kuffaar and don't address the munkar.' The very tone of the thread opener assumes that there are any benefits to multiculturalism. Unless you can count racial strife,drug smuggling,rape,street robbery and other new types of crime being perpetuated on the indigenous population which hitherto had been unknown? Not to mention the new crime in Blair`s multiculti Britain of "thought crime". Then no I can think of nothing positive.
You cant blame black people for the rise in Chav culture, they are the ones committing the crimes, sponging our welfare state for all they can get and selling drugs on the streets. Look closer to home when complaining about things happening on your own doorstep

The multiculti society has caused the indigenous youth of Britain to be confused about their own sense of identity,an identity which is being increasingly denied them. The "chav" "culture" is an example and a good one about how low they have sank. However it is the architects of the global society and commercialism who are to blame for hyping up black culture to the extent that it is seen as superior.
I hadnt noticed that "black culture" was seen to be superior, they must do something differently in your area. I see it more as black people being able to make a valid contribution in the music, fashion and other industries. I fail to see how this can be linked to the charvs who listen predominantly to white club/hardcore music mixed by predominantly white dj's If black people are seen as superior by yourself, I think it says more about your own feelings of inadequacy. I personally would rather my child looked up to an icon of any colour who had gotten off their ass and was making a contribution of ANY sort to society rather than sitting on their ass sponging off the welfare state and being dragged off by the police every other day.
"Black culture" I doubt you even realise that the word Black encompasses many different cultures from many different countries and people. I think that you in fact mean American Gangland culture, of which of course there is a problem. Gangland culture is not privvy to skin colour, it is practiced by many different colours, cultures etc. However chavism isn't a direct influence of the states gangland culture, it is a word used for people who sponge, steal etc. I doubt these people are confused by their own identity because of something someone of a different colour has done. I don't think i have ever seen someone so influenced by the media. Like i said in a previous thread you are obsessed with colour and that is all you can see. I suggest you take off your rose tinted glasses and realise that the less desirable white english hetro chavs that you apologise so much for, are purely acting off of their own idiotic tendancies, you can't pawn it off on to someone of a different skin, you can't get away with that one son!
