Over the years there have been so many complaints about the failures of multiculturism, many people have advocated a different approach to this multicultural Britain. Crazy political correctness, high crime ghettos, the so called appeasement of the loony liberal left. These are just some of the reasons given for a change of policy and thinking. However what exactly is the proposal to change things, to fix what has gone wrong? What are we to do? After the riots which happened in the North a few years ago politicians talked of banning Arranged marriages, for God's sake like that would provide any kind of solution. That just shows how out of touch the authorities really are from the general population(a similar example was one M.P. calling for Hoodies to be banned to reduce crime). What needs to be done? How can we change things? Do we need to change anything? Is there actually something wrong with multiculturism? People feel let down by the system, ordinary hard working people feel their needs are being ignored, while the scroungers of society are getting a free ride on the backs of the law abiding.
What concerns me though is that this understandable annoyance of the system will lead to a massive backlash. Doing too little to late may lead to ovrboard policies being implemented. Already we are seeing the Fascist British National Party making record gains by exploiting the fears of the majority community. How far will that go???

A very valid and timely question, given the current state of the economy. I predict that if things don't improve, and we get a good hot Summer next year, there will be blood on the streets (again). Germany in the late 30's, anyone?
What time is it, Mr Woolf? Time to mend your ways, for the end is nigh.
Somebody needs to set the tone. Having lived in America for a little while, it's clear that many of the youth here are simply uneducated, and lack guidance in terms of the proper way to behave. It really is up to Mr. Brown to lead by example, and to encourage intelligent discourse between communities; an exchange that would inform the young in what is, by and large, a tolerant Great Britain.
