English cultural theme for St Georges day.

Quilted Jackets ...you know the ones, they look like Barbour Jackets turned inside out. Why?

I fail to see the point of them, can someone enlighten me to the benefits?

They used to be only worn in the country by posh folk with wellies and horses, but now they are worn in the city where they look decidedly silly.

My humble roots has denied me an education in this area, so enlightenment will be most greatfully received.

where are the psuedo posh - i need an answer, I can't sleep at night.

Quilted jackets are tacky in the countryside, in the city, in the jungle and in the tundra. They look just like you walked out wrapped in a quilt. They are totally uncool.
