I would like to ask Peter how much of the 7/7 storyline is fiction. Did MSK's mobile phone really get embedded in his torso? Would he have been so stupid as to leave all his contacts on his sim card? Was the footage of the 'bombs left in the boot' of Tanweer's car at Luton real or fictitous footage.

Apart from that, I've found the whole storyline unbelievable and offensive, especially as we have never been shown evidence of the guilt of the 4 accused of the events in London of 7/7.

Well done, Peter. Gripping!

Don't let the criticism get to you, we do need to feel what it means to be on "the other side".

Have just watched the end of this programme and how ridiculous!! I know for a fact that when Im on the train tomorrow i will be even more frightened than usual of anyone I see who is muslim, pregnant and looks suspicious! So no, I dont think this will do anything to bring communities together. I think that was a terrible programme...extremeist who are into this type of thing are just going to be pumped up even more after watching this!!!!!

quite a few things wrong with this drama

muslim women do not pray side by side with men
muslims do not get buried in a coffin

these are just a few things that are unrealistic, you needed to do alot more research. Who did you employ to check these facts?

As for the drama itself, it has the potential to breed even more terrorist,

Bridget D - are you for real? The guilt of the 7/7 bombers? Jeez!

To the programme - very 2-dimensional and I wonder how much was sacrificed in the editing. The need to keep the pace of a drama moving has led to this I believe.

Sorry, I was not at all convinced of the girl's motivation & commitment. Staring eyes and angst just won't cut it.

This was a fair attempt to show both sides of an issue, without acknowledging that the issue is multi-faceted. It won't cause any shockwaves though as it brought nothing new to the table.

While a very powerful drama, somethign didnt really click with Naseema conversion to a suicide bomber.

Yes the oppressive laws, the death of a friend, the injustices of the world can make someone hate, can make someone kill , but to actually to prepared to kill yourself in the process requires religion, it requires faith something that Naseema didnt seem to have?

Unless you are saying that suicide bombers are not neccessarily religious?

i would lie to ask peter why the women he showed in the drama weren't real muslim women. Real muslim women don't sleep around, drink or any such behaviour.

nice one peter!

i thought that this was going to be the general propaganda that so frequently bores us now, amidst all the the protests (not many mind you) i'm glad ch4 aired this- it's a sure winner, and the acting was tremendous. not to say everything is true (or false) but the way you went about it all was brilliant u explained a tricky issue without justifying it perfectly. so i just wanted to say well done, and any plans to realease it on dvd (hope i don't get arrested for possessing it) or broadcast it in other countries?

also i am from Yorkshire and work with police officers, i can not believe any police officer would declare to 'shove a ham sandwich and pint of lager' down a muslim throat just to shut them up. also before anyone starts saying i dont know what is like to be Asian and Muslim- save it, i am Muslim, Pakistani Origin and female.

I have to agree with some of the comments, a great drama.

Remember that this is a TV programme and has to be entertaining, there have been many documentaries made to give a range of views on the issues but this thankfully was different. I think it was nice to see the story told from 2 sides.

I thought it was well written. Yes it shows the extremist muslims, but thats what it meant to show, the muslims who are drawn into this by the UK and americas foreign policys. It's not saying it's every muslim, I think there are plenty of parts in it where it shows that, but people need to be aware how it effects some people.

Pakeeza - real Muslim women do drink and sleep around. As do real Muslim men. Maybe not excessively devout ones, but you as a Muslim must know, it is not for you to decide who is a Muslim and who isn't. Allah decides.

It was a compelling piece of drama but seemed very dislocated from actual reality and I fear only serves to marginalise people who in actually are a small part of a greater debate on difference within society. This should be kept separate from government agenda and sensationalism. I'm sorry it was underplayed. A great point is made about the sinister denegration of civil liberties but this was left by the wayside for sensationalism - though beautifully acted.

If it was intended to start a debate and generate a renewed interest in changing the democratic process, involving more people, some intelligent subtlety would have been welcomed.

Sir Marni.

This drama is really aimed at non-Muslims. It is designed to show what it might feel like to be in Muslim in Britain today. It was based on many interviews we carried out with 2nd gen Muslims in Yorks, Midlands and London.

the events depicted were stated to be fictitious. i would like you to tell me whether there is any known case of a control order being imposed on grounds such as those shown in the early part of the second programme? Does this dramatisation reflect any actual case? On such trivial grounds?

I didn't like the monologue at the end blaming everything on the British public for voting in Tony Blair.

I'm white British and have no argument with anyone, but I fear that docu-dramas like "Britz" do little to bring faiths together.

It was powerful, well acted and made me think, but only served to make me more scared of terrorism than I was already......and more wary of muslims.

I don't really know what to say right now, I am so so moved. This second part of the story really brought the whole thing together. It was bloody scary to see a normal Brit girl end up like that :O Absolutely shocking to see that, because it can actually happen Frown

To all those people offended by the portrayal of Muslims or Pakistani's I just think you need to get over it and yourselves. Everything depicted here is authentic, whether you like it or not. What is ideal in your heads is not reality. This is coming from a British Pakistani.

Sir Kosminsky, this film has really affected me in a way that will hit me and I'm sure others too when it all sinks in.

Gripping! Totally. Had me shaking and in tears.
