It's actually 'OK Computer' and considering the way channel 4's previous TOP 100 GREATEST EVERRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!oneoneone!!1 (ahem) programmes have gone (see Robbie Williams voted into the Hall of Fame ahead of Oasis, Nirvana and Radiohead), we got off quite lightly.

Another ka-ka list show from Ch 4 from a small list of albums reduced further by a selection voted by a few thousand from ze public. Kind of meaningless- especially when idiots spout off on them- thought Katie Mellleuueueuu was amusing on Alanis Morisette (how did that beat 'Horses'? Why do people not see that as the origin for rubbish like Avril Lavigne? What about Polly Harvey or Liz Phair????) who sounded like the guy who thought everything was brilliant on The Fast Show. Surprised rubbish like Oasis came so high alongside the usual suspects...Yawn...& the best album ever is Sulk by Associates. Or Tilt by Scott Walker. Or...

I suppose OK Computer was acceptable as No.1 although it's not even the best Radiohead album, I'd probably go for Kid A, Amnesiac or even The Bends ahead of it. It would have been such a retrograde step if Revolver got the top spot. Apart from a few great tracks, I find it a patchy album like all their albums really and I don't think they've stood the test of time. I also realised I've never heard Dark Side Of The Moon before, and was rather surprised and somewhat pleased at the same time because I'm sure it's interminable waffle. And I agree with the guy the on the music forum that a top 100 list without Marquee Moon is unthinkable. And I think people haven't listened to Ziggy Stardust lately and realised that Station To Station, Low and Heroes are far superior and it's time for a change of Bowie album on these lists. And I didn't understand the omission of Blonde On Blonde, surely one of the great albums of all time. It's a public vote so you expect stuff like Dido and The Libertines but I would be surprised if those albums made this type of list in ten years time.
