i think that makes you the only person worthy of saving the others then.....

Because I believe people shouldn't suffer for the mistakes of others? By your reasonning it is justified to force Nicaraguan peasants to hand over their livers so that our drugged alcoholic rock stars can live longer and everyone as a whole will be happier. I'm not an idiot, I've thought this through much further than you, my code of ethics is superior.

are you sure?

someone who wasn't an idiot would have realised that in fact it was *i* (me, alone, the bestest, greatest, most moral of them all) wot said first that i wouldn't pull the lever.

back on page 1. which is a whole 2 pages before you even arrived.

which makes me 2(x) times more superior and ethical than wot you is.

so i nominate you for the siding, and i'll pull the blummin lever myself. cos in your case, i make an exception.

its for the greater good.

Nod

Apparently, you are. According to this study (sorry, you’ll have to take the dots out of moral; I keep getting a message about trigger words) about 90% of people feel it is right to pull the lever and this is the same across different religions (& athe1sts).

As BallyBM (correctly) stated (don't worry, there are more). The 2nd problem is that you are on a bridge over the track and can stop the train by pushing a weight onto the track, but the only large weight available is a f@t man sat on the bridge. Do you push him off?

Since this has been touched on already, I'll jump the 9un a bit and suggest that whether you'd pull the lever or not the idea of pushing the poor s0ul onto the track probably (for most of us) seems at least 'less right', if not more wrong.

As BallyBM (correctly) st@ted (d0n't worry, there are more). The 2nd problem is that you are on a bridge over the track and can stop the train by pushing a weight onto the tr@ck, but the only l@rge we1ght available is a f@t man sat on the br1dge. Do you push him 0ff?

Since this has been t0uched on already, I'll jump the 9un a bit and suggest that whether you'd pu11 the lever or not, the idea of pushing the p00r s0ul onto the track probably (for most of us) seems at least 'less right', if not more wrong.

And to you to and one and all. I went away to get some work done. Did anything happen in the past month or two? Perhaps we need a new Dawkins show to liven things up again... Smile
