yeah, whatever:
To answer the original question: How do I get into heaven?.... One thing which you should avoid is being advised by atheists.

What time is it, Mr Woolf?
Time to mend your ways, for the end is nigh.

Lest they open your eyes eh? You're a sheep in Woolf's clothing. Baaahhhh.

Precisely. No point going all guns blazing at someone who simply hasn't been exposed to this game before.

To be honest, I'm not sure how either of them died? If, indeed, they did die?
As far as I am aware, neither gave any indication that they were likely to show any kind of remorse for their actions?
This cynical "I'll make a deathbed confession" stuff really doesn't work. The example of the thief at Calvary was a completely different instance: In that case, he realised that he had been wicked during his life, and was genuinely repentant, and had the unique benefit of watching Jesus' sacrifice in the making.
The point is that you not only have to "confess" your wrongdoings, you have also to believe that Jesus died to cover your sins: If you genuinely believe that, then you could not continue to live a life of pure self interest.

So, to answer your question, I would doubt that either Hitler or Stalin are in heaven: But even if they did make it, then that's OK with me: Why should I question God's wisdom in saving whomsoever he sees fit? Matthew's parable of the vineyard workers?......

So you are saying that yes, Hitler and Stalin could be in heaven.

Whereas if someone lives a blamesless (for example, buddhist) life, doing the best they can, then they will burn in hell.

What a lovely way to look at the world.

In heaven Hitler and Stalin would of course have the company of the murderous crusader knights, the killers of US clinic doctors and members of the WBC.
If they are in hell they have the company of every good, moral person whatever they believe born prior to the death of jeebus. Which presumably would include a follower of jeebus who had the misfortune to die just before him.

A sheep in sheep's clothing, actually.
The alternative, if you read your bible, is being a goat.

The use of the word "witless" was actually softening what might otherwise be an offensive observation: Meaning that these guys are acting as the voice of evil, although they perhaps don't realise that they are being used in this way: Perhaps they genuinely believe that they are helping you, here?

These friends of yours who are happy Christians are happy because they have an assured eternity.

Think about it.

Something to think about is that Mr Woolf is probably the most 'honest' xian here.
He literally interprets the bible and is thus surely closer to 'true' xianity than those nice apologists who don't really think much of the bible is true but like singing and the sound of bells.
If xianity is only acceptable when it is neutered, is it really acceptable at all? Is Mr W the sort of person to aspire to?
Do check out the link to the Hitchen debate.
I look forward to your return.

Just wondered if there was anyone who you loved so much that you would forgive them anything, if only they showed remorse?

Not quite. They are pseudo-happy because they believe they have an assured eternity. When in fact they are low in self-esteem and squandering the only life that they can know for a fact exists.

Free Thinker, you're confused.
Neutered Christianity is the least acceptable state of all!
To me, it smacks of accepting that the supreme sacrifice has been made, but then not living the life which such a sacrifice should demand.
There was a special mention of guys like this in Revelations(The Laodiceans): Jesus pretty much said he would vomit them out.
Not a great endorsement of their faith?

I don't think that was ever on offer, was it?
Isn't that just some wishy - washy, leftist pinkoe, latter day psychologist invention to beat hard working breadwinner males over the head with?

How about dinner, a fortnight on Wednesday, Miz?

Not a great endorsement of jeebus.
