I am only trying to say that science is like the sponge. It has holes and it doesn't hold water for long. Boom boom.
Only joking, but that scientific method truly is limited and things escape it, although it is good for a time but afterthat it doesn't know.
I am Francois D'laney, not quite french, not quite irish. Top of the mornin', as they say.

Chill, garcon, it is but a jest of mine. Remember that humour is one part of culture, and were on a culture forum please. Many things remind me of the same overallthing, and it is all good for me. Sorry that I am as you say surreal but that is part of my personality. I respect the Dawkin and the selfish gene has many truths but Im afraid his documentery was not too good but it was an entertinment. The name if this thread sugests that others think it too which is what I meant before.

The scientific method though, keeps looking for the things it doesn't know. Many of the things it "doesn't know" have actually already been through it and found to be a load of rubbish, (dowsing for example). Care to name a single way in which the scientific method can be improved? There are probably half a dozen Nobel prizes in it for you if you can...

Can't help thinking a Nobel prize might be setting the sights a little high. The ability to construct a legible post would be a start.

Je ne sais quoi is what I meant. It means I don't know what. By the way why do they keep taking away freethinker's posts, and not just him but others also?

Some forums have human moderators. This forum is moderated by a randomizing machine. The machine randomly deletes posts. The deletion is not based on any criteria. It is just random. It is a post modern thing, I guess.

Aha, a joker like myself. But surely that is not true.

Well, I contend it is the hypothesis that best fits the data. Many studies have been conducted to try to establish whether the deletion of posts follows certain criteria. No criteria or pattern has been found. We have therefore concluded that this cannot be the consequence of human action (at least not intelligent human action). I think that the best hypothesis is that the moderator is a randomizing machine. Although, I have to admit that brainless zombies cannot be ruled out.

So it's robot moderators in custody of robot posters. Where's your off switch, freethinker, or do I go to the wall and take out the plug? Hahaha, my joke.

LOL. Can't imagine this staying here very long. The deleted posts included a one line fix of TC's broken link, and him thanking me.
