After Saladin brought you military and cultural success, Muslims lost it to Suleiman and the Ottomans and have been losing ever since.
And that brings me to my next question (and answer).
The question is when and why did a current rise in Islam and fundamentalism start?
I will suggest (Wendy and Yuze) it started because of the failures of the Arab world starting with defeat at the hands of the Ottomans and suffering continuing defeats at every level since.
More recently it started with the return of the Jews to Israel, the defeat of the Palestinians and the failure of the Arab/Muslim world to do anything about it. That is confounded by the several wars waged by the massively rich and populous Arab nations on the Jews and the humiliating fact that in spite of their wealth and numbers Muslims are continually defeated (by the way I am not Jewish and in fact see little difference between Muslims and Jews).
Then we get to Afghanistan and the defeat of the Russians in 1988. That was the first time the Muslims had defeated the infidel (albeit with infidel (American) help) since Saladin. That was the start of it all. Muslims yearn to be respected and after years of corruption and incompetent failure they perceive the defeat of the Russians as a renaissance and they want more. Prior to 1988, in the UK, you’d have to look long and hard to find someone wearing a veil. After 1988 things change.
The foreign fighters in Afghanistan liked the feeling and buoyed by their success they went looking for another fight and for a fight you need a cause. What better cause could you have than believers against non-believers? In recruiting fighters to that cause what better ally could you have than God and a book (the Koran) which you could interpret to deliver any message you liked!! Success (in Muslim) terms continued with suicide bombers. Muslims in western countries needing someone to blame for the failures of their forebears and wanting respect suddenly want to be associated with the new Islam which has captured the attention of the non-believer as their predecessors where never able to do. Suddenly Muslim women are wearing veils, men are sporting long beards and Bradford is turned into Islamabrad as Muslim’s now feel strong and able to flex their muscle. The muscle being flexed is don’t mess with me cause there are hundreds of us hoping for the opportunity to blow ourselves (and you) up in the sure belief of heaven and 72 virgins!!
So (Wendy and Yuze) that’s how it started and that’s why you (Muslims) are continuing to propagate it; because it’s the only way you can get the feeling of any kind of success and a misguided concept of respect.
One more thing I’d like to add –if you did win you would lose because your next battle would be Muslim on Muslim. Why? Because the book you’re all working from is ‘a dog’s dinner.’

I am pleased you find my post amusing. I am also pleased that you continue to rise to the challenge no matter how many convincing arguments are thrown at you; albeit that you have avoided some points (presumably because you have no answer).
One point I’d like to add to my previous posting suggesting that Muslims and British Muslims in particular are increasingly wearing Muslim garb because they yearn to be respected – note that this topic originally posted by Wendy ‘How Islamic Inventors Changed the World’ is a plea from Wendy for the Kuffar to look at Islamic achievements and give respect. Unfortunately it is the only thing they’ve ever achieved (apart from suicide bombings and it was a very long time ago (but then Muslims do like living in the past don’t they).

The reason I don't answer every single question is because I chose to answer the ones which I feel most important or which take the least brain power because I just skim over the posts while I take Southampton to success on Football Manager. I got sacked from Arsenal for poor league and european form. Despite winning the league and FA cup the year before. Anyway that's for a different forum. And course we are friends.

Well,I thought his post was inspired,unlike your ramblings...above..'while I take Southamton to success on Football Manager' Surely Allah done it...did'nt he !? How can you claim credit?
Besides the title is wrong not all where invented by Islamic inventors. The article even points out that they developed several of the ideas and did not invent them.
