Hello!

I am a member of a local unsigned 5 piece pop/rock band called The Alphites. A few months ago we played a gig in Liverpool at which Brian Kirkwood the producer of Hollyoaks was at. After we played our set he approached us and asked us if we would like to play on the show. Without hesitation we agreed! Then all was quiet for a couple of months while we got wrote into the current story line involving bands etc.


Anyways a few weeks ago we went down to the Hollyoaks set and we were filming playing in the Student Union! It was great playing somewhere that you have only seen various angles from on the TV. We got a tour around the set and got to meet loads of people from the show, both actors and behind the scenes.


The episode we are going to be in will be aired on wednesday 18th of July NEXT WEEK! (according to our feature in the Radio Times) As a cheeky bonus we are releasing our debut single, 'You're Not Ugly, You're Lovely' at the same time which will be available from Itunes on the 16th. We are really excited about it considering literally millions of people watch Hollyoaks, it quite scary actually!


We are also having a single launch party gig at Bumper, Hardman Street, Liverpool on the 20th of July which will have 7 great liverpool bands including Fun Tony and goFASTER>> performing on two stages. We also are having a free Alphite prize draw and our own signature shot available from the bar! It is going to be a great night!
