hey, i was just wondering if the parking at the event is free for the whole day?

it looks like me and my friends will be stopping at a campsite quite a distance from the beach so it may be easier for us to drive down from the camp early in the morning.

I wanna know that too, cos our campsite is about 30mins away from the beach.
I asked the lady on the phone and she said its about half an hours drive and its better to drive than take a taxi cos apparently the taxis are really expensive there..
the t4 site doesnt mention anything about paying for parking, just that parking is available, but i reckon we'l have to pay :/

i don't know yet, we're going to find one once our other friends have got their tickets lol

i wouldn't leave it too long, it seems everywhere is booking up fast!
i was thinking maybe the might do a bus service to the beach instead...
that would be cheaper then a taxi, and would be ideal for us because if we drive to the beach whoever drives our car can't drink!

Last year you had to pay to park on the beach - think it was only a couple of pounds though so wasn't a lot. Took us ages to get off the beach though as there were so many cars trying to all leave at the same time.

There's a park & ride I fink. Anyone know how far it is from the event - is it walkable? if not wot time do the buses start?
I mean I don't want to get there at the crack of dawn in the hope of making a mad dash for a golden ticket, only to find myself stuck in a field for the next 3 hours!

Is there enough spaces on the beach to park? Or do you have to get their early to get one??

If you aren't at the beach early you will be sat queuing in your car for aaaages!!! They only have a certain amount of cars in too so they will start turning people away at some point ...

There is a car park in the local shopping centre - its called the souverign centre (not sure on the spelling) but its along the sea front if you just follow signs for a car park! Although this does cost alot of money per hour and as T4 is on a sunday it probably closes at 5ish ...

There are also various spaces down the side roads near the sea front although these will go very quickly but if you drive around a bit you may find one - these won't cost anything as it's just on the side of a road!

I can't think of any other car parks - the train station has spaces but im not sure how much they charge and also the bus station across the road from the station and opposite tescos has spaces! Tesco only let you park for 2 hours so don't go there as they will fine you ..

I live in weston and know that there will be a park and ride system in place. There are hundred of car parking spaces as they do it on an old airfield and they pack the airfield. So just remember where you parked the car.

you do pay for park & ride,
well you have had to the last two years,
it's only like a fiver though...
and last year i got there about 7,
and the park and ride wasn't open yet i don't think,
but it was easy anough to get into the town as tehere weren't many people about.
although it might of been open, i seem to remember us getting slightly confused...
not sure how far it is, but i don't reckon you can walk it.

whatever you do dont get a taxi!! i paid £25 for a taxi from brean to weston and its only a 15 min drive

last year i left my car outside the b and b where we stayed the sat night,never again,it took me an hour and a half to get out of weston.my mum lives 20 mins away and shes havin my lil girl for me so am thinking i might leave my car at hers sat.get train from yatton to weston sat then train back on the sun after t4.
