i ask my dad and every year he asks for 'socks or aftershave'. i want to get him something decent this year as he was incredibly generous for my 21st birthday last week.

My dads birthday is the 16th of June, and some years this is Fathers day aswell. I then just save money and buy just 1 present for both.

What you should do is get some of those 2 for a fiver vouchers and take yourself, your dad, your sister and warren out for a cheap meal as a gift from you. Then there will be no presents required.
Another tip. If you have someone with 2 events on 1 day, say Birthday and Fathers day, buy 1 card, say a Happy Birthday card, then make a "and Fathers day" sticker using the office dymo machine, sticK it to the card, and hey presto, another £2.99 is saved. I have done this on several occasions. This works with anyone who has a December Birthday, because you give out Christmas cards early anyway.
