I was wondering, where everybody lives what is their regional word for Townies.
In Plymouth we have Swilly's because there is a rough area in Plymouth that was called Swilly - but then the council noticed that it was a negative thing so they changed the name to North Prospect.
What about where everyone else lives? Can you write down the same used, and where you are from. Thanks.

Yeah Pikeys are known as gypsies in Oxford too, but a lot of the townies are now associated with them so are called it too! The towniest place ever has to be Bristol. In the centre it is litereally full of them, I've never seen so many!

I'm afraid that seems to be the case everywhere you go. You'll always find them anywhere that has a McDonalds Restaurant really. Does anyone ever go in to McDonalds anymore? I don't think all of those healthy salads will appeal to your average chav/townie and as they seem to make up a large proportion of their market it is surely not cost effective? The same could be said for the breakfast menu...pointless really as chavs/townies don't get out of bed until at least lunchtime
