right! i'm reading so many things in so many different threads that i'm making my own with the questions i want answering in the hope someone who has been before will see and make things a bit clearer!

so..gates open at 11am right and close at 7pm..
what is the best time to get there to have a chance at getting near the front??
some people are apparently queuing from 2am!! saying that by 6am the queues will be massive!
others have said that they are getting there about 7/8ish and think they'l be near the front??

also what is this golden circle thing?
is it defo not a case of buying it advance
and how many do they actually have?
iv heard its 100 but also heard 250..
what does it mean if you do get in that bit?

Last year we got to the beach at about 8 and the queues weren't massive.
They had about 5 queues last year and each one must have had about 30 people in it.
Last year we weren't far from the front, we didn't get into the golden circle but we got a good spot.
The golden circle is just an area at the front of the stage. There can't be that many really. Last year they were letting in a few people and then not letting others in until some people left.
They give out 100 to the people at the front of the queue, but I don't know how many go out through competitions.

we got there @ 9 and they wernt massive! yes they open @ 11 ISH ... the golden circle has previously been a barriered part @ the frot of the stage which u had 2 win tikets for but apparetnyl this year its the 1st hundred or 250 ppl thru the gates. but a word of warning ... golden circle isnt as special as u think neither is being @ the front!!! ... on our 1st year in 06 we were @ the front in the middle and it was CRAP we cudnt see a thing and u didnt even have room 2 breathe never mind move! so we moved to the right hand side up near the wall and has sooo much room and a better time!! x

In my opinion.. the golden circle is as special as you think.. I was in it last year and there is loads of space in it so you arent squashed but you are still at the very front!! it's brilliant!!!

I agree with it not being that special just at the front though (not in the golden circle) you get so squashed and loads of people will just push you around so they can get nearer the front! If I didn't have the golden circle I would have stood nearer middle/back as you can still see and hear the music but have alot more space to enjoy it!! x

we were right near the front last year and yeah it was cramped and there wasnt much space....
but it was so worth it!! when the acts come round onto the front of the stage you have such a good view and the atmosphere near the front is amazing!!!

but there is almost no point in getting there really early coz at like 10.30 everyone pushes to the front of the queue and then youve just gotta run!!!
it was really annoying last year when we'd been queing for like 3 hours and then everyone just pushed infront

We normally leave the house at bout half 6-7ish, its a twenty min walk so normally there bout half 7.
Its gna be freezin aswel if u gt there at 2am, personally weve always been quite close to the front only i faint and then have 2 move lol.

Golden circle is at the very front of the stage bt cn only win tickets in competitions.
If your in the golden circle then ur reli reli close to the acts bt thts about it.

i went last year it was my frist time and i got in to the golden circle it was grate i think but the only thing is your not on tv as much as you are in the crowd. but we got there last year at 8 we got in the golden circle it was grate dont get there to early cos the beach is all blocked off and you wont be able to get there really early get told to go back.

I live in Weston and have been for the past 3 years. I get there at 6ish in the morning and there is only a handful of people there. If you get there much earlier you'll getcaught in the tide.
I've never been in the golden circle. But i've been front row every year. Last year we gave up,'cos the stage was too high up to even see over,so we went to the second stage which was brilliant!
If the stage has the same set up as last year I don't see any point inrushing to get there.

I definetly agree - we went for the first time last year and we were in the middle at the front, it was so squashed and everyone from behind kept pushing forward and you can't see a thing cuz there were too many tall people!! I did exactly the same as you did and stood at the side on the bank - loads more room and a much better view!
