turbo taxis with the big V8 running as well
it just didnt have the quick starts you were hopeing for and it looked a brute to handle.
then dink got on and got the quickest time

woof justices rover engine looked like it had been on fire..it sure did the trick
plenty of problems with miles of wires just as well there is tinkering time. well done

i am surprised no one went for the motorbike option or would that have been to easy ??

well that is what they said on telly but what was dinks actual time. it did not really matter because the turbo taxis already had a much high time after two runs than woof justice had after their third and final run so that last run did not matter cuz the turbos could never win

My question is... what the hell was wrong with that V8?! Even with an automatic transmission, that should have been able to leave rooster tails from one end of the course to the other...

I was expecting the rover electrics to play up a bit more than they did.

you can always rely on a rover NOT to play up ....
just goes to show be gentle with the wiring and not just rip it out

The rovers wiring was a total pain, despite leaving every single bit in including the electric sunroof etc it still blew a couple of fuses not helped by the fact that rover saw fit to install two fuse boxes ,one under the bonnet and a second hidden below the dash (some duplicating the same functions ?). One blew on challenge day and in true scrapheap fashion spares had to be 'OBTAINED' from the garage of the owners of the land that the challenge was carried out on. It was either that or blag them from Roberts car which was parked nearby !
