For those who have Google Earth, you can see the remains of the old Scrapheap set (Series 5-7) at the following coordinates:

lat: 51.407 lon: -0.870

or

51 deg 24' 25" N 0 deg 52' 12" W

Not much of it left, but still interesting regardless!

Thanks a lot for an interesting placemark!

Where the series 8,9 and 10 were broadcast?

You're welcome! I haven't found it on GE yet, but according to the site, series 8-10 were filmed "hidden deep inside a military base near Bramley in Hampshire".

Haven't found any other of the older sets, but I doubt there are any remains left.

Try GE at location
51 degree 19' 08.02" N
1 degree 03' 44.13" W
best viewed at elevation 60 metres
and I am sure it is buried in the forest somewhere, but I am also pretty sure the GE's map data is before the filmset being there..... or is it there ? let us know folks.

Seems my last post must have upset people as it was removed, Volcano your location is wrong, the real site is to the right of your positions.

If you use flash earth and set it to the microsoft maps you can see a more recent image when the set has been built.

Dave, flash earth is a lot better, put the words flash and earth together and add the suffix for american web site and you should find it.

If you put the co-ordinates for the old site it shows that the old set has now gone.

You'll find that most of the google satellite pictures are at least 4 to 5 years out of date, the set is on there BUT it is prior to RDF taking it on.
It was obviously still MOD property then because now it is much scruffier and untidier !
