I felt rather sorry for him aswell. He was just sat there with puppy dog eyes. Although it is kind of true what stevie said... If you look in someones diary you should be prepared for what you might read.

I didn't feel sorry for him at all. Not everyone likes everyone and if you don't want to hear what other people think about you then don't read their diary!

To be fair Sophia did say to Paul that it was Ok for him to read it, she must have just forgotten the nasty things she said as if she had remembered I am sure she wouldn't have let him read it.
I thought Paul dealt with the situation very well though, expressing himself in front of the group rather than keeping his feelings bottled up... I must admit that I like him a lot more now than I did initally.

Sophia actually posted about this a week or 2 ago. Apparently she told Paul she'd prefer him not to read it as it could upset him, as there were comments about him from weeks ago that she didn't agree with anymore. He said not to worry, it wouldn't upset him, read it and then got upset. I agree he dealt with it well - thought the whole group did - and he's growing on me too (although he's not one of my favourite characters).

I felt bad for him! I think he learnt his lesson though, that its best not to read journals even if you have got consent. Because people can make harsh judgements on first impressions. It was more when he was walking around feeling bad, that i felt sorry for him. And maybe he has an insecurity about being boring. I know i used to be extremely shy and when i meet someone and they might say i'm quiet, it gets to me a bit. So i got how he felt, but i'm glad that he told everyone and i thought it was kind of sweet how he said it to the group. Seems like a nice guy!

I felt a bit sorry for him too. Since Sophia was letting everyone else read it, I would have wanted to read it aswell. I think the more you say to someone, dont read this, the more they will want to esp if you just leave it somewhere where they can easily read it. Its a bit unfair to him if everyone else reads it and knows what she said, its only natural he would read it. They resolved it well though.

I did feel sorry for him because I like him now! He seems to have relaxed alot more from when he first arrived! And discussing his feelings with the group was a very grown-up thing to do, rather than bottling it all up! Although he does look a bit like Robinson Crusoe with that ever-growing beard!

Aww I felt really bad for him, but I also gained new respect for him. It takes a lot of b*ll*cks to say in front of a group & on TV that you feel hurt about something. And who'd have thought a marine would be sensitive eh? x
