Hi everyone, dunno if I'm being kind of impatient here but I sent off via the 'meontv' thing hoping for an audution, ive spoken to around 4 people who have an audition and they say it only took like 4 days for the reply to come asking them to go for an audition... my pics were'nt very good as they were blurry but does it matter that much at the first stages? and have i applied to late? i know, i know i probably am being impatient but ever since i decided to apply i've found out how much i really want this, seems like a great experience!! any help would be greatly appreciated..
I applied in the morning and got a reply back for an audition on the same day in the afternoon. I dont think you should be too late to apply if its still allowing you to do so and filming doesnt start until september.
i don't know when they stop auditioning, probably when they find all they need. put it this way, i haven't finished filling out last years form yet and I had an audition last year and i have one tomorrow, I think they just pick randomly so you might still get a response
yer it's kinda messing with my head tho cos ive seen people getting replies in like days and it's been like a week, and i really hope i get an audition cos i know i'd do well, its just getting one ha!
Last year it took almost 3 months for my reply of an audition. This year it was a few days. But the actual audition is so short notice, I haven't made one in 3 offers yet! The London audition was last Friday but I missed it and they've asked me back this Friday, which again I can't make. Sorry to say but depending on where your from if you haven't had a reply yet it doesn't look likely. Good luck though!
I applied to Shipwrecked three yearrs ago yet have been invited to auditions every year since. I went last yr and got through a few rounds, but can't go this yr as have mortgage and bf and good job I can't leave. Am gutted though. But the fact I haven't applied for years just shows they are giving out auditions all over the shop. I seem to think last yr they did one round and then went back around the locations 6-8 weeks later. Dont worry if you havent got one yet as I'm pretty sure they invite everyone to audition now, you might get it later on x
Clicked on the link to Apply when it first came up on this site...put my name and email address/other personal info down, then stopped. Didn't answer ANY questions or even send the application off.
I now just received an email calling me to audition on July 18th...(can't go due to being on holiday).
Anyway the moral of this story is that 1) we live in a crazy world where people receive auditions without officially applying and 2) there is still hope for you!!

I got an audition for the 22nd of July in Manchester, Im not sure if I can make it! But if I do what do i expect, they say the second part of the audition is being filmed? Being filmed doin what, mabye questions?
omg that sounds scary. I have one on 22nd too in manchester. I really dont know what to expect or what to say if I get through to the video bit. I was looking at the shipwreckers audition tapes and they just seem to tell random stories!
anyone got an audition after the 24th July!? thats when im back from holiday... really would love to audition! you think the 22nd July one in manchester will be their last!?
i had exactly the same experience. I didnt actually apply. I clicked on the apply link and filled in a few personal details but then stopped, i didnt fill in any of the many questions or send the application once i was done, but i still got invited to attend an audition on the 1st July. I couldnt go though as i had an interview that day, and it would have been pretty embarrassing if they referred to an application which i didnt even fill out!

I sent a application in a couple of weeks ago and again this week. I still not had a reply. I applyed last year and got a audition but couldn't make any of them. I hope I get a message soon.
Kimmeh, I cancelled the holiday unfortunatley, told my mates I was sick, due to other factors aswell such as im a bit low on cash and got other things coming up, and i start training fo a new soccer team this week!! im going on the 22nd at 1 oclock, lookin forward to it should be a laugh ha!!

Omg Jay, I really hope you get on then!! Seriously, something like 30,000 people apply, 99.9% get an audition as well as people who went last year, and only 30 or so get on... You'll see what I mean at ur audition, just hope you don't kick yourself, and I sincereley hope you get through.
Ahh Jay, well good luck! At the beginning, when you are waiting in the room (although it could be totally different to the london ones) if one of the casting crew tells everyone to sit down, dont! Stay stood up, that will get you noticed Ours was in a club and had music on so she got everyone to dance while waiting, some people went a bit crazy with the dancing and got to move to the front of the que. Just be yourself, through every stage. Good luck!
Dont take anyone, you queue inside mostly and they ont be allowed through the door. Also, they want confident and independent people, so you should at least be able to stand in a queue on your own!! Talk to the other people queueing, they will all be in the same boat and i think you'll find everyone chats and wants to check out the competition!
