I'm finding it hard to put into words just how insane I find this forum at times!

Are people seriously trying to suggest that Lauren should not have tried to persuade Diva to pick Sharks? What possible reason could she have had for not trying to do that?

yeah I agree.. but to be honest I love the hawk island much more and I was hoping the sharks would choose lauren because I knew Diva would be good on the third island.

i'm glad lauren went to sharks ... as i again am supporting the tigers i have a feeling lauren will rub peeeps the wrong way ... i reallllllllllyyyy dislike that girl .... i also believe in Karma ... and what goes around come around ... just watch this space ...

I really dislike Lauren too. My god-sister is good friends with Diva and shes such a lovely girl! In a way though i think its good shes on Hawks, unlike Sarah she seems to be getting loads out of it and really appriciates the fact that shes getting a chance to stay out there! wooo diva.

Can anyone explain to me what they dislike so much about Lauren? I'm really completely mystified, as she doesn't seem to have done anything remotely objectionable yet.

And then squealing with delight when she got picked, before suddenly remembering she was supposed to commiserate with Diva. Really...

She knew exactly what she was doing, she'd spent the previous day canvassing votes from the Sharks. Don't like her at all.

in my opinion she was very two-faced, saying her and dive werent really close and she felt like they where in competition, as soon as she found she was staying she was like "oh i felt really close to her" She begged Diva to go with sharks even though Diva wanted to go with Tigers, she behaved like a child and i think Diva was trying to take the highroad. The thing that really bugged me though was when they announced they had picked Lauren she started screaming, as if she knew they wouldnt pick her! I felt she really rubbed it in Divas face.

I like Lauren! I don't see how she is manipulative! If Diva wanted to stay on either the tigers or sharks island then she would have stood her ground. Boo to all the people who don't like her Shame on you all!

Most of the comments are unfair and unkind to Lauren. It was never going to be easy for the new arrivals when they are told about the twists on arrival. Sarah couldn't compete with Tom and Lauren couldn't compete with Diva because their personalities are out there. Diva was sure that Tigers will pick her and therefore did not make much effort with the Sharks even though she enjoyed her time with them but I am convinced that she also thought that the Sharks will pick her. Lauren on the other hand like Sarah before her was 100% a shark and it would have broken her heart if they chose the Sharks or if the Sharks rejected her in favour of Diva. So she begged and cried.........but Diva was loving it, wasn't she? I do like both girls and in fairness the right girl went to right island

If Diva really really really wanted to go to Tigers, she would have stood her ground, like what Lauren did. In the end, Lauren got what she wanted.

If you wanted to go to an island, you would do all you could to do that.

Also, I seem to notice the only people complaining are Tiger fans, its a repeat of last year with Terri, Amy and Sophia! Sometimes you just have to accept what happened

Hmmm i just think the way lauren practically begged diva to go to sharks with her said it all when she said if we did choose the sharks and they had to choose one then that would mean lauren would get chosen and she would be goin home (as she thought)

Parsonally my intial views of Lauren aren't brilliant! She DID practically beg Diva to choose the Sharks (and like most people would have done ... Diva caved in :-()

I think the main reason Diva caved was that she knew she didn't really have any good reason to insist on Tigers -- she wasn't that bothered herself and her only reason would have been because it probably would have improved her chance of getting chosen. I think Diva would have fully understood Lauren's perspective, so she wasn't really deceived or manipulated as such.

I think because Lauren made a stronger connection with one island, it was quite right that she should stay while the more ambivalent Diva went to Hawks. I think all concerned made the right decisions, leading to the best result for everyone.

I agree, I think that the right girls went to the right islands, Diva is so much better on Hawks than I think Lauren would have been.

But Im not a big fan of Lauren though she was only playing the game and trying to win a place on one of the islands, she did annoy me from the start with all the whinning, and then when she screamed when she was picked I thought she was a bad winner. I think we have only seen her at her worst at the moment, now she's on sharks she might grow on us!

Diva seemed to just be enjoying herself from the start, and I think she'll be great on Hawks, She seemed to bond with Nick, James and Char stright away.

We are going to see this every week with the new arrivals. They are going to have to compete with each other to win their place on the islands, and I reckon we will see worse tactics than Laurens!!

All you people drumming up hatred for Lauren should grow up and learn a lesson on how to make use of a handicap. the handicap being that she knew quite early that she has got a very strong competition in Diva as far as first impressions are concerned. Even on the attempt she made at the Tiger boys before living she was smart to realise that they have have been smitten by Diva. That aside, she warmed up to the Sharkies uncontrived so much so that that the thought of not staying there plagued her from the on set. If the only attempt she made at getting the Sharkies on her side was sounding Lara out what is wrong with that. Lara (whom I have warmed up to) was very tactical in her reply. At the beach party, it was clear which side each girl was leaning to and the situation would have lead to an impasse but for Lauren's nervy plea which leads me to think she might be of a nervy disposition naturally. From what we saw, both girls are very likable but one cockier than the other and that lead to her exit from the island. Please let both girls be as afar as what went on at the beach party.

The big twist of this series, is that it's actually a modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet:
Two young people from opposing families (or tribes), meet and fall head over heels in love. This causes friction within the tribes, who are desperate to keep them apart.

I can't wait to see who's been cast as the Tybalt character in this version, and for his sword fight with Romeo (maybe, in keeping with the Shipwrecked theme, it will be a swordfish fight).

I bet it all ends with a secret tryst on Hawk Island, where they both end up poisoned.

You mean we don't know who the nurse is yet. There's plenty of candidates - it could even be someone we haven't met yet.
