If Diva was smart, she could have played both Islands equally. Lauren was never a match against Diva in creating winning first impressions. She enjoyed the Sharks and said so herself but never dropped any hint to them that she liked their siland. Lauren on the other had new quite early that Diva has won over not just the Tiger boys but the girls as well and that she had not the slightest chance of being chosen over Diva.Because Diva was aloof with the Sharks Lauren knew that her only chance on staying on with shipwrecked was chosing the Sharks and she went for it. It did help that she genuinely likes that isalnd. if I remember correctly, both girls were crying during their mdecision making. I can not recollect anybody putting a gun to Diva's head to chose the Sharks. She did announce that she had made a decision and her choice was Shark. Give credit to Lauren for being a more competent nrgotiator. If you love Diva and I like both girls equally, you must respect her conclusion, on her way to Hawk island, that Lauren played a better game than she did. Enough said!

Lauren was absolutely appauling and she is certainly the type of person I do not wan near me. Untrustworthy.

Manipulation shone from her behind and eyes and out from her nose. It was disgusting to watch.

Diva went on the Island with pure spirit and enjoyed every moment equally on each Island without second guessing what her 'opponent was planning' - unlike Lauren.

When lauren realised it was a competition - she began to get paranoid about Diva's obvious glow and 'like' from the Tiger Island, due to Diva being herslf and relaxed attitude and eternal smile. Lauren, herself, made her experience on the Tigers one of paranoia and slightly gloomy.

She KNEW that she had to get the Sharks on her side - so they would pick her. When she went to the Sharks, she became a different person. She smiled and laughed BUT as we saw, she went on the beach with one of the Shark girls and said and hinted that Diva liked the Tigers and shs unsure but herslef, Lauren was totally with the Sharks.

Now, when it came to the Sharks picking her, that Shark girl that Lauren had pulled to one side said how Lauren had always known she wanted to be with the sharks!!! Well done Lauren - you are the Queen of Manipulation.

Don't even get me started on the begging of Diva to pick the Sharks. That seriously made me sick. And when Lauren callously squealed like a pig when she was 'picked' I say picked more like she brainwashed the sharks almost - in a light sense of the word -that was down right rubbing slat in Diva's eyes.

When I thought Lauren couldn't sink any lower - near the end she speaks how her and Diva were such great friends and she wishes her luck in her life - oh my goodness.

Lauren what comes around goes around - I have seen it for myself to believe - and you are the one who needs some serious luck in life for what is to come.

Like others have said - I think it was good that Diva went to live on the same Island as James and Char because these three are so lovely.

argghhh, im watching the repeat now, i hate her, when on tiger island when she said "its important to leave me my mark, incase i dont come back", why is she even on the show? i hate her sooo much more than tom or susan or keris. She has ruined the programme, why pick her, why pick her,argghhhhhhhhh.

I can see that she has not come across aa well as she would have liked. Who knows how much the editing has to do with this but my impression was that Laura is an intelligent girl who quicky cottoned on to the fact that it was a competition between her and Diva and that she had to do what she could to make sure that she was picked to stay.

On the other hand she did use tears etc to sway Diva into doing what she wanted, which is in
my opinion emotional blackmail. My impression of Diva is that she is a girl who is generally liked by most people she meets and therefore does not feel the need to make people like her. This is why she liked both islands because they both liked her. Lauren realised this and knew that Diva was hard to beat so she used all her powers of persuasion to get Diva to go along with her wishes. Diva seemed to be an easy going type who would not like to upset anyone and preferred anything for an easy life.

In the end the girls went to the right islands, but I wonder what the producers are going to do when 2 people don't agree and one won't change their minds. I have the feeling that it Diva had not agreed to go with Sharks then Lauren would not have agree to Tigers.

After watching the episode a couple of times, right at the end, when Diva had just left, Lauren was talking about Diva, as if she was certain they wouldn't see each other again!

Oh, how I'd love to see Laurens reaction when she sees the Hawks, later on in the series (that IS why they're here, right?!?)

I think I may be the only person who likes Lauren.

Maybe it's because I don't like Diva.

Diva should have stood up for herself more if she really wanted to be a Tiger.

It amazes me how many people there are on this forum without even the most rudimentary understanding of the concept of competition.

When people are in competition, they try to win. If they succeed, then their opponent loses. It's nothing personal: it's just how games work.

Lauren wanted to stay on the islands, in particular Sharks, and did what she could to make it happen. She made it clear to the Sharks that she liked them and she persuaded Diva that they were the best island to pick. I don't remember her using any tactic that could really be considered dishonest or unfair; in fact she seemed pretty open about how she was feeling throughout. I suppose you could argue that there was a touch of emotional blackmail in the tears during the decision, but OTOH it was quite a stressful situation so it's entirely possible that her reaction was quite genuine.

Anyway, those of you who don't understand the competition concept better wise up pretty fast or you're not going to remotely understand what you're watching!

We haven't really seen very much of Lauren, but she seems fine so far.

There are two types of people.

1. Those who will do anything , no matter how much it strips away any honour or trust or even your soul, to get what you want.

2. Thos who fight fairly with principles and morals intact.

Competition can be played two ways. Being in competition is not a bad thing in fact I believe a little competition can strengthen you as a person.

I know that I do things and don't do things on the basis that at the end of the evening, I can look in the mirror and be proud of myself for not abstaining to dirty, tactics such as guilt trippng and manipulation.

Still glad Diva is on the third Island though So all worked out in the end!

I have to say I find your hatred of Lauren extremely ugly. Your vitriol is far more extreme than anything I've heard from her TBH.

Nope! She's just some girl on the telly who I know practically nothing about!

I'm not saying I've seen anything to convince me that she is some kind of saint but I haven't seen her do anything particularly nasty either. That's certainly more than I can say for a lot of the people on this forum who have said some very nasty things indeed.

I think everyone is just annoyed because they chose Sharks and they want them to join Tigers. It was exactly like that last year. Because Amy, Sophia and Terri went to Sharks, everyone was calling them traitors.

I should say that while I was worried by the exteme hatred expressed previously, the views you state in this post strike me as quite reasonable. You are, for example, quite entitled to think that the blubbering was a bit over the top!
