but how can they act normally when a camera man is fiolming their conversations when charlie and alara were playing catch with that invisible ball they were propbbly playing for the cameras then !!!

tut tut! the bunch of liars!! how could they deceive me like this . so none of it is real they probably plan all of this before hand so it looks like it's onn the spur of the moment like the fright night thing as well when they all dressed up!

On both sides I think alot of it is played up to camera
I don't suppose we can judge that you know, we havn't experienced life out there on the Islands, I guess one could forget the cameras actually being there? but then again it's not like the cameras are hidding behind Mirrors like "Big Brother" anyway I havn't a clue, I'm just speculating
Other then that the Production Crew/Camera Men etc. have there own little camp area ofwhich is Luxury when compared to how the Shipwrecked peeps have to survive...

From what i know from similar type of shows. When the camera crew stops rolling they behave very differently and even hang out with the camera crew. I imagine this is how Katie (I think) landed up dating one of them.
Not all of it is contrived though, but imagine having a secret whisper like James Mudie often does. It's almost like the producer has nudged him and said 'we'd like you to do this'. I think he loves the camera and would grab at the oportunity. He probably also doesnt take the whole thing very seriously.
Some of them do act like plonkers though. For a producer it must be quite easy to manipulate a bunch of fame hungry people, to get their storie lines.

Sometimes it seems as though they've been asked a question off camera by one of the crew and the answer gets filmed. It only takes a bit of imagination to suppose that these are engineered questions and that inconvenient answers end up on the cutting room floor and so a very nice storyline is created!
I think there are stationary cameras through out camp meaning the area the cook and sleep but ob cameras when they are on the beach. Also heard the camera men or doctors arent allowed to talk to them like IAGMOOH, they are camoflaughed and only come out when needed, but this might be a bhit hard when they(s/wreakers) are on the beach and not the jungle
I reckon some of it is staged and some of it not. I mean there has to be some kind of structure to it or the show would not move as swiftly. There is only 50 minutes of it from a whole weeks footage. I think they definately do interviews and probably give an outline of what they want said in the interviews. I think regular everyday stuff like cooking and cleaning is done off the cuff. I think perhaps that events like the ceremony and Richie and Charlie's date were probably staged for the cameras and i think that the natural personalities of the groups mixed with the producer's imagination makes a lovely show called Shipwrecked!! yay!
Hi iv been talking to 4 of the castaways ova e-mail and richie toled me that it is not all set up for the camera but sometimes the camare mem muck up and they tell the people to say wot they just said again and again which is why it loks so fake so no the show is not set up
I think if not a lot has been happening that day or week then surely the producers must encourage them to come up with interesting & fun ideas just to keep it interesting for the viewers. I wouldn't think it was actually staged in any way, If people found out it would put viewers off future series.
