Over the last couple of weeks, Sophia has been involved in two arguments/disagreements. On each occasion, the issue was discussed at an island board meeting.

On the first occasion, Ben L refused to let her defend herself, constantly butting in before she finished her sentence. This caused the argument to escalate to the point where Sophia felt so uncomfortable that she decided to leave.

On the second occasion, Paul expressed his grievance, everyone listened and was sympathetic and then Sophia was able to put her side also, which was received with understanding by the group.

To me this epitomises the difference between the islands at the moment. The Sharks work with each other and for each other to create a solid family dynamic. Tigers have a much more individualistic outlook and aren't really there for each other at all.

Basically Sharks is a vastly superior island at the moment, and Tigers really need to get their act together. Even if they do, they've got no chance of catching up the numbers unless something goes wrong on Sharks, which I guess is always a strong possibility, given how quickly situations can change... I think that Ben L is a big part of this problem on Tiger island as he is extremely selfish, stubborn and always thinks he is right. I thought he was bang out of order in the way he dealt with 'Sophia's food stealing' and should have just had a quiet word rather than bringing it up in front of everyone.
Also he only thinks of himself and the fun he can have rather than the island as a whole. At first when he arrived I thought he would unite the Tigers, instead he has divided them further and in fact is a major cause of conflict.

The Sharks without Lorenzo are easily the best island at the moment.

I remember (i think its on the shipwrecked website) that Ben Lunt said that his worst habit is interrupting people before they finish a sentence. That is definately what happened in the Sophia arguement and to be honest she must've felt really frustrated not being able to get a word in hence why she really blew her top. The sharks are definately more diplomatic at handling these situations but im a Tiger fan for some reason.

I disagree! Sophia has been centre of MOST of the conflicts over at The Tiger Island.

As for the second point....We'll see. I think he was too big a character and was a pretty important part of the group. However it MIGHT be interesting how the others characters develop now that he's not taking up the limelight.

They seem less lazy this week.

I was really interested that in the Tigers' discussion as to whether Ben L should join Sharks - Terri said - basically - he was a good laugh - but the other side of him was whispering behind peoples' backs - [ie: shit-stirring] and she didnt' think it would be good for the Sharks.

Terri's pretty level-headed in her assesment of people & she didn't have a personal grudge the way Sophia did - so I respect her opinion.

I agree, she must have been really frustrated, but i disagree because when he first bought up the topic, he couldn't even finish the first sentence before Sophia tried to cut him off. Definately guilty id say. So they were as bad as eachother with not letting each other speak.

Yeah you are right, i think its cos with the Sharks they handle problems waaay better, if someone has a problem they might tell a few people and then gather the group together and discuss the problem in a civilised way. They seem more relaxed, and all get their say without having to scream. Tigers, seems to be more bitchy i guess, only telling a few people and getting all hot headed when trying to sort out problems.
