Over the last couple of weeks, Sophia has been involved in two arguments/disagreements. On each occasion, the issue was discussed at an island board meeting.
On the first occasion, Ben L refused to let her defend herself, constantly butting in before she finished her sentence. This caused the argument to escalate to the point where Sophia felt so uncomfortable that she decided to leave.
On the second occasion, Paul expressed his grievance, everyone listened and was sympathetic and then Sophia was able to put her side also, which was received with understanding by the group.
To me this epitomises the difference between the islands at the moment. The Sharks work with each other and for each other to create a solid family dynamic. Tigers have a much more individualistic outlook and aren't really there for each other at all.
Basically Sharks is a vastly superior island at the moment, and Tigers really need to get their act together. Even if they do, they've got no chance of catching up the numbers unless something goes wrong on Sharks, which I guess is always a strong possibility, given how quickly situations can change...
