Sorry, agree with Pipster. Yes, we only see an hour of him a week, but why should he get special treatment because of that -- the others get the same amount of airtime as him, they seem alright. Sorry but there are no excuses for him.

1. She gave her opinion of Tom. 2. She stated other people couldn't form an opinion of Tom, because we see so little of what happens.
My main point is that if laura*jr can form an opinion, so can other people.
I accept that those opinions are not particularly well informed - I totally agree with laura*jr about how little we see and the editing. I also agree with cozna that Tom does not come across as well as the other islanders (in my opinion) - but that also makes him one of the more interesting islanders to watch.

I just have to have a rant about tom. He is soo arogant and sneaky. He is the only one on there playing a game. He was the one who instigated the idea that the tigers should garuntee matt a place on the island and then he has the audacity to sit there and say that he had nothing to do with it. He done it out of selfishness, he wanted to get off the tiger island and didnt care how he done it and now he is set on turning the sharks against the tigers. Fair enough that he wanted to move islands but there was no need for all of the lies that came with it. I feel sorry for Matt as all of the sharks were sitting there calling him a rat when really the only rat there is tom!! He makes me really angry :@

I've got a mouse and he hasn't got a house I don't know why I call him Gerald. He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse! I survived flight 815 ** Supporting HM No 2 - (oh dear - why did I pick No 2) Never forget you are unique, like everyone else.

I only came into the 2006 series when he'd already joined Tigers, so I missed him as a new arrival.
However, from what I saw, he was a very different person to Tom. I thought James was a not very serious, up for a laugh type person, who's big problem on Tigers was that he tried to be a spy, but was really REALLY bad at it.
Whereas with Tom, he comes across as a spoilt little boy who always has to win (he actually said that about himself in the Meet the Islanders program. I suspect the real comparison could be with Lucy last year - someone who joined the program with a rather sheltered upbringing and by the end of it had grown up.
