forget who said it... erm, it was...LOST FAN...
anyway - they're bang on.
Togers go to the island.
"we'll build this community up on a foundation of lifestyle - we treat the new comers and they treat us"
and this worked... onward
"look, our island needs constant improvement or we'll never win the game - and that's what's first and foremost"
and this worked... until...
the castaways stopped going to an alternating start island. that's right, remember.. it was sharks first tigers second for about 6 weeks and it seems alot of the guys kept to their fist island as choice to stay
even the when tigers pulled it back - the new guys went to sharks first and always held it dear (human nature my friends)
point is, tigers - even if they lose - built a much more natural community. as for sharks, it's all 'lord of the flies' - look for the pilot in the woods dudes.
by the way - to clarify, when i said on my original post yesterday "tigers - a well oiled machine" the analogy continues to the point that well oiled machines sometimes have snags - the trick is to keep them well oiled and once the oil starts pouring over the shiney mechanics, it'll do the job for plenty of years to come.
excitement? adventure? ... a Jedi craves not these things
