I've been doing a bit of digging, and I think I've discovered a very interesting clue as to the outcome of Shipwrecked 2008. It's in the form of a riddle, but if you think about it, the solution is obvious. The riddle is as follows:
Tom Tom the pipers son
Stole a pig and away he ran,
The pig was eat and Tom was beat
And Tom went roaring down the street.
I notice that in another thread, my question to Nick, asking whether his father was a piper, went unanswered. Hardly surprising - he obviously saw the net closing in and panicked!
Nick - I put it to you that the name Nick is in fact a cover for your nefarious criminal activities! Your real name it Tom Tom - you STOLE that pig and escaped with it to your hidden lair on Hawk Island!
Only once there, you made a fatal mistake. Unaware that a camera crew was also present, you allowed yourself to be caught on film, eating the proceeds of your heinous crime! (There's no point in denying it - we all saw you).
As to the rest of the riddle:
Tom was beat - I believe this is 'beat' as in 'defeated'.
And Tom went roaring down the street - roaring, hey? Hawks don't roar, nor do Sharks. Tigers on the other hand ...
The only logical conclusion is that at some point, Tom Tom aka Nick defects to the Tigers - who go on to be defeated.
In other words, the Sharks are the winners of Shipwrecked 2008!
Go on, admit it. I'm right, aren't I?
