Gannet - has anyone tried it? I have and i love it! Its really salty but its delicious!

i have tried gannet which is beter known as Guga i'm sorry to say this but i don't like the taste even though it's traditional on the Isle of lewis and i'm from the island.

Well, I've been eating it since I was a baby coz I was brought up in Ness, where the guga is traditionally eaten! So I guess it may be an acquired taste!

what is it, exactly? Just a type of bird - or has something been done to it? Is it aged or fermented or something?
