Great Show, along with Hells Kitchen. At last someone who does not beat around the bush, says it like it is and gives a real insight into what it takes to work in a top class kitchen or to become a world class chef. Far to many see the glamour side of it...all these well known chefs poncing about on TV and it gives a really false impression of the work and dedication required to get there.

I love this show too!
I like his attitude but also because his life outside of work doesn't look overly glamorous and fake. He's not married to a 6'0 feet tall super skinny blonde model who only wants money money money and wears tons of makeup and wears clothes that don't fit right. From what I've seen so far by watching The F Word, he's got a lovely family and even had turkeys in the back yard which ended up being Thanksgiving Dinner!
I also like watching the stress in the kitchen. The pressure to make the perfect meal. I also think it's great that he teaches women how to cook in their own home!
