I have a house near the coast, I know there is a problem with Seagulls, As people & councils are talking about culling these birds. Can you eat these birds as they are pretty big and must have alot of meat on them. Any chance you can try!

I was in Blackpol this week and saw a seagul and I casualy said to my other half "I wonder if you can eat seaguls?"
I am sure that they must be eddible the only thing that would put me off is that they have fed on our "Dirty" coasts and I wonder if that would have an effect on the quality of the meat??
I wonder if they would have a slightly "fishy" taste?? it would be interesting to find out
