I was wondering, if you knew you could get a 3 course meal for free, just by saying "the pastry was a bit tough" or "It taste dfunny" would you not pay if you were a diner.
Or would knowing that it was cooked by 4 inexperinced people in fairly tough surroundings make you pay?
Where do they find some of those people ? I'm sure that in a regular restaurant even if they were served rubbish food they would shut up and pay up, but this is all done to make a programme. One person last night refused to pay because he said "the desert was too simple ," How stupid is that ? Was it good ? Did you enjoy it ? "Yea , but it was like ,too simple " I do think that GR has gone OTT with swearng in this seris , but at that sort of comment I would fully condone it. I suppose GR could have stuck a sprig of mint in it , oh , and perhaps a wafer or a flake, better still ,stick the mint and the wafer up the flake ! The trouble is, the diners have no choice ,so no doubt some are served meals they genuinely do not like ,so would'nt pay for it no matter how it was cooked. Still , thats what the show is all about . Bring back Kitchen Nightmares, far better.
I would pay if i liked it, fair is fair... But i was shocked that 47 people liked duck, i don't know many people especially women here that like duck. I loved the look of the mousse(sp?) though.
Icetech... stuck in detroit.. we have no produce, only crime
If the food were good and worth the price being asked then I would defo pay (unless one had to wait an unreasonable amount of time). I wouldn't make up some crappy excuse about a sweet being too simple PAH, what a load of codswhallop.
It does somethimes suprise though the so-called chefs that say they are great in the kitchen and host dinner parties all the time, come into GR's kitchen and burn potatoes.........If you are really good in a kitchen, it shouldn't matter whether you are cooking for 4 of your frinds in a domestic kitchen or in GR's commericial kitchen. The food GR's asks the chefs to cook is very simple really.
if i did go to eat in the f word restraunt i would say "the meat was under cooked" and that the deset "was a bit sickly sweet" even though i dont really mean it and really think that it was actually the best meal i had in years! LOL sO yeah free food is good. Everone wants something for nothing
yes can you imagine if he came especially to see you like he did on the very last episode with the one girl who would not pay for her starter out of the whole restaurent-how embarrassing!!
ha ha good point! it would also be quite good to get picked as one of the 'tasters' who get to choose between Gordons pudding and the quest star's pudding etc as he has been on a bit of a losing streak! ...also of course you get the lovely Jean B to serve you...
