Having just ordered the Fast Food book as advertised on the site it arrived this morning. How disappointed I am to find it doesn't contain many of the recipes from the series (I particularly wanted those from last week - I know i can download them!) and what's worse it doesn't even contain all the "Fast Food" categoy recipes from the series. Does anyone else agree this is a bit naughty advertising it as "buy the book" of the series?. Anyone else had a similar experience? I wonder if this is why it's avaiable widely at half recommended price!

that's a difficult one.... i had a quick flick through the book and thought it was ok, although i would question the notion of it being 'fast food'. most of the dishes looked like they'd take me a week to prepare, and i'd have to go and buy an entire range of cookingware to enable me to cook them....perhaps that's just me though!
i think he would have got just as much flak if he'd recreated the recipes out of the book for the series, particularly as it was released in advance of the programme's airing. would there be any point in watching the show if everything was in the book...? it is a bit naughty though, i agree. there'll probably be another book out soon containing all the recipes from this series....hence the significant discount on 'fast food' perhaps....? or is that me just being cynical Roll Eyes

I have already brought the book, and to be honest, comparing to all of his other books this is the most disappointing so far, I wished I had not bothered, and I normal reall enjoy GR books and recipies, this book has failed to inspire.

More importantly, there is no free DVD as previous books whats going on GR?



Gordan if you read this site, try to deliver what is states on the cover, "FAST FOOD" and include what you cook through the series OK?

I like the book, haven't really looked for the recipes that are on the show, but it has got some good recipes in them and I think they are aimed at creating good grub in fast time - it's more of a cook's book than a chef's - but that's good for me. I've been trying to be a bit more cheffy recently - but mostly I just like to cook good grub.
