I only recently got into Kitchen Nightmares and now think it's one of the best shows on TV.

The Revisit episodes are such a waste of time it's unbelivable. Instead of revisit they should just call it "rerun", or make one extra episode with all the new footage from each revisit in one (would probably just about fill the required time).

I bet the american version of Kitchen Nightmares isn't going to get revisit episodes where 90% of it is exactly the same as the episode everybody has always watched.

argh, i seriously couldn't be anymore angry right now

Welcome Friday 13th. There have been lots of complaints regarding the re-visit eps. Unfortunately the American version does use the same format for re-visits the only other problem with the American ones is that due to the believed short attention span of viewers percieved by the programme makers the format of the original eps goes that, you see the trailer of what is about to happen, then you get the titles, then you get a very fleeting look at the participants, then you get a break, but before the break you get a resume of what just happened then you get another taster of what is about to happen, after the break you then get a taster then a little bit of the actual programme, this goes on until the end of the programme. Result? An hour long programme of 10 mins of footage and a thoroughly bored audience, left feeling like they had just eaten the proverbial Chinese meal, hungry for more and disappointed. I sometimes feel so patronised by this method of programme making, like I can't be expected to take in too much information all at once. Much as I love Mr Ramsay and the programmes are in essence good it is spoiled by the methods used in post production. Come on programme makers, give us some credit. Give us a full programme, we do have an attention span longer than that of the average goldfish, sorry we do have an attention span longer than the average goldfish, average goldfish. What was I saying?

Lemon Drop Kid, I am with you on this, the production companies for these programmes do have, I guess, a typical viewer in kind when editing together the programmes.
When you watch on 'Catch-up' it is highlighted, as there are no adverts and the programme is sewn together. Huge amnounts of programme time is taken up reminding viewers where they left off.
The reruns with the updates surely do not need to repeat the whole show again. Must be advertising/show sponsorship contracts that
oblige them to do it.

As well I would like to see with GRKN a chance for the owners to answer back after the show like they do for Wife Swap, it might balance things a little.

Hiya,

I think these have been on due to legal problems.

From what I have heard in the local press in Nottingham The Curry Lounge episode was meant to be on much earlier but the owner got his lawyers involved and got some of the footage removed so they had to put the revisits on to pad the series out.
