I've got some arborio rice in the cupboard still in its original packaging and the best before date says 2004. Is it still ok to eat?

I wouldn't risk it although if it is in a vacuum pack as Galio brand often is then as it is a best before date rather than a use by it may be OK. Arborio isn't really that expensive at about £1 a pack so why not just throw it away and not take the risk? Hope this helps.
