right will someone explain pls why three of us been knocked out of place on the day the quiz closes does there scores still count or what n if so dont u think its a bit unfair ome one pls explain

I have answered this question before. Last year the quiz prize was the Sunday Lunch book, I did win a copy. The quiz entrants are scoring right up to the deadline and yes you can be pipped at the post, sometimes, as I have previously posted, the quiz actually kicks you out and you lose your score which is very irritating. The prize this year is the trip to the restaurant so I would imagine there are going to be lots more taking part, knowing how hot the competition was last time when it was for a book then you are going to have to be monitoring your score constantly to see if you have been beaten and then you are going to have to do it all again to try to top the person who beat you. Anyway, good luck in your quest, keep us informed and if you do win then enjoy your trip.

If the closing date is the 5th June, surely entries upto and including the 5th of June are valid? Maybe they should consider making the deadline a specific time on a specific day in the future. I was pipped like that last year so I understand the frustration but just accept it as one of those things as it is the same for everyone. I have done the quiz this year too, but find that it crashes often. This was especially frustrating during the quiz that ended on 29/5 to win a meal at the restaurant as I got a score approaching the winning score and it crashed on me for no real reason. Has anyone else experienced such problems? My internet connection is totally reliable ordinarily and the error was a server error on their part anyway. Mind you I would have been pipped at the post as the deadline was rather vague and a couple of higher scores were posted last minute!
Whoops! Just seen the threasd of posts where people have had problems with the quiz crashing - which answers my question. Sorry to duplicate! There seems to be a few of you out there with similar problems! But still interested to hear about any more...
yea i get the crash thing to on my laptop however when i do it on the pc its fine weird init however i meant the comp which is on now the one for the thingy posters surely if it says the quiz closes the 5th of june then the 5th of june is the day the quiz ends not that the 5th is the last day for entrys?????????? does anyone else agree
Yes, I can see it from how you're looking at it too - ie it's no longer open on 5th June as well as how I'd interpreted it - entries close at the end of 5th June. Think that's the problem - it's definitely ambiguous as you could interpret it either way, though I must admit, I interpreted it your way at first until I read in your posting that people were still doing it on the 5th. That was what made me wonder. Now I'm just confused and don't know what to think!!! I too would like to hear what other's think! Either way, I feel that channel four could and should solve this issue in the future by setting an exact cut off time on a particular day, rather than leave people wondering what's going on. It seems as though it would be much fairer.
yep i totally agree hun cos there was 3 of us that on the 5th of june were in the top 5 to win all thinking the 5th was the day of it finishing not the day of it being the last day to enter so im extremely peeved off knowing that i aint won seeing it maybe be interputed the pther way now
What happened with the quiz? Did you win? I see the leaderboard has been reset, but the details about the quiz and it closing on the 5th are still the same. Seems a bit strange to me. Does anyone know what's happening? Is there a new quiz? I might enter if I knew what it was all about...
Seems they've rectified it now and this time the uncertainties have been taken out of the quiz - a definite closing time has been set. Seems much better. Good luck everyone!
yep i conplained to channel 4 about it so obviously theyve taken heed to it lol i dunno about the last quiz cos i still thinkk its out of order thou as 3 of us were at the top to win on the 5th so hay ho anyway nice to see its fiinally sorted
