Both Chefs present thier own shows, F-Word and Ready Steady Cook (BBC 2). Who do you think is the funniest and has more perfection to thier dishes. I said Ainsley Harriott because Gordon named is book the worst cook book ever, and is always criticisng the guy.

You say ainsley because gordon picked on him? How is that saying who is a better cook or funnier?

I don't think of Ainsley as a chef, more of as a cook - he creates dishes that are easy to duplicate using basic store cupboard items and things which are easily bought. He's great for ideas for weekday meals - but Gordon is more of your 'special-occasion-put-a-lot-of-effort-in-and -shop-in-specialist-places' chef - he's inspirational rather than instructional, if you see what I mean? Both are good in their respective genres, but those genres are very different.

i know who he is thanks.....i just don't think you can compare the two in the same sentence. he wants shooting for those fairy liquid ads.

I think thay both have their merits. The styles of cooking are completely different and I have enjoyed recipes by both of them.

You can't compare and say one is better than the other, they are just different.

Ainsley makes me cringe....

His tongue always looks too long...like he's about to catch flies.

I don't like him he annoys the living hell out of me, Gordon on the other hand is a completely different story.

I like Ainsley - he has a thing about colour.

On one Ready Steady Cook they burnt some sausage & he said "there's nothing wrong with a bit of black sausge !!!". On another one there was a white woman from the caribbean with the strongest accent & he said "you never expected to hear an accent like that from a woman of a different colour !!!"

And on a Celebrity RSC everyone was shouting at everyone & Lowri Turner said "why's no-one shouting at you ?" He replied "cause I'm 6'4 & black".

I like Ainsley but he does push it a bit just because he is black, alot of the comments he comes out with on RSC arent called for.

I would choose Gordon because Ainsley doesnt cook anymore and is more of a presenter.

after reading his new book i understand him completly. he def had a tough time getting to were he is now bless him

Ains is a lovely man, but Gordon has a prescence. Also I have Gordon's books but none by Ains. Seeing as I have hundreds of cookery boook that is a bit odd.

i cant stand ainsley harriot, not his food, just him. like on ready steady cook, he interfears way too much.

gordon is a fantastic cook, who is trying to get people to see food differently, not just something that comes out of a supermarket.

what has ainsley done? host a series of shows..thats it.

Ainsley is a natural TV presenter, he's entertaining for a mainstream audience.
Ramsay is an awesome chef and entertaining but not in a mainstream kind of way.

It's a bit like comparing Bruce Forsythe to Steven Hawking. They both do exactly what it says on the can.

Ainsley Harriott is my fav,Gordon is great too but his swearing puts me off
