I am currently researching the representation of men in shameless and how audiences respond to them for my A-level media coursework. It would be a great help if anyone could give me their opinions, and reasons why men are represented the way they are. many thanks
So what you are saying is you want someone else to answer the question for you so you don't have to do the hard work and think for yourself, is that what you are saying?
Thats a bit harsh! However, I agree that the work should be done outside of this forum, which is supposed to be about Shameless, and not peoples coursework etc. I have answered alot of questions similar to this one, and am not going to do it again.
Sorry.

I love Mickey and Ian!!!!! Shameless... That's all I aspire to be!!!!
awww bless leave the poor student alone - just think how scared they will be when they get into the big wide world lol
Marching On Together “Ross: First divorce, wife's hidden sexuality...not my fault. Second divorce, said the wrong name at the alter...kinda my fault. Third divorce, they shouldn't let you married when you're that drunk and have stuff written all over your face...Nevada's fault.
to be fair, the "how audiences respond to them" part of the question is not really possible to answer without asking the opinions of people that watch the show.
That said, I can't be arsed giving a lengthy analysis of the subject and I'd suggest you read the threads about the various (and varied) male characters on this and other forums and draw your own conclusions as to how people respond to them.
