I doubt they will come back as much as I would love them too

I said a few yrs ago that they should end it before it got stale and this was when a lot of the main people left it and how wrong i was. Kev and Vee were brilliant as was Marty but I think its still as good now as it was

I think after James McAvoy and Anne Marie-Duff left a lot of the cast felt that they could move on to better things too. Notice the cast are either young or old, there aren't many cast memebers in their late 20's, early 30's.
I've just discovered this show and watched the first three seasons in the past month. It's hard not having any other viewers to discuss it with so I hunted down this forum. Unfortunately, everyone's way past the point I'm at (the second episode of Series 4).
I've had to suffer through the loss of Steve, then Steve and Fiona, and now Kev & Veronica as well as the return of that heinous bitch Monica with no one to chat about it with. It appears everybody loved season 4 even with the loss of favorite characters, but I'm pretty upset. I mean, the McGuires as the new main characters? Please!
There. Done venting. Just needed to get that out. It's such a well written show, I'm sure it will survive these losses, but I already know from glancing around the boards here that Sheila won't be around much longer either! Who's next? It's depressing. Thank God for Debbie, my favorite character.
Wah! Say it ain't so. I know you're kidding (right? right?) but I wouldn't put anything past them at this point.
Ever notice how the babies and Liam conveniently disappear whenever they're in the way of the plot? How'd you like to have your real kids vanish when they're inconvenient and pop up again later? Plus, even though all the kids have school uniforms I swear none of 'em actually attend school. They're far too busy dealing with the craziness in their neighborhood.
