only the occasional episode now - as you can tell, sadly. executive producer is (usually) just an honorary title, they dont actually do anything 9tho this might be an exception, i dont know)
He's listed on the writers for the fourth series, so he must he written at least one episode of it.
The last episode he was credited as writing was in the second series, this was apparently because he wanted to give writers with little or no proffesional experience a chance to write the third.
He still retains control though through his executive producer role, so like avid said he can meddle with anything. He created the programme so in this case it's not just an honorary title, he actually has control over everything.
He's probley more in charge of long running storys and help getting people scripts up to scrath. Lets face it, Paul Abbott has given us Danny Broklehurst who is doing great things.

Yeh, Danny's episodes have been great. I think Emma Frost has also been a great find, loved her episodes in series three and four, she could well follow Danny's success and get her own show.

according to imdb (which cant be entirely trusted, granted), he wrote two from the last series and two the series before, plus the first xmas special. no one is creditted with the first series at all tho, so i wouldnt exactly trust imdb.

I'm being a bit of an argumentative sod now, but creating the thing doesn't necessarilly equate to retaining any degree of control, especially if he is actually working on something else at the time. What matters is who owns the copyrights!
