Well I have to say I'm impressed! I confess myself surprised, I went into series 4 with exactly the same attitude as series 3, and am enjoying this first episode more than the first of series 3.
Haha I'm LOVING how they handled veronica and kevs exit, really fabulous, and the maguires moving in next door haha.
Well done to the producers and cast, you've managed to redeem yourself and have brought shameless back to its brilliance!
The bits with Kev and Vee were filmed at Liverpool's Great George Hall as the backdrop for Romania!

I've got a good feeling for this series. I agree this episode so far is better than series 3's first episode.
I was a bit miffed that the Kev and Veronica thing was done in the space of one short scene and wham bam, thank-you mam The McGuires are in!
Think i might even be getting used to Liam II! (Not that anyone could top little Jospeph who played him first).
All good so far!

I agree with the good vibes for the series! Definitely looking forward to the rest of it now. I think from what I've seen Series 3, even with its highlights,will go down as the low point.
I know that sounds like I'm speaking too soon, but if it carries on how its started then its definitely looking good!
I completetly forgot about Michael Leggge (Angela's Ashes's "eldest frankie", great film), joining them as Stan's sidekick.
I don't know if anyone's seen him in said film Angelas's Ashes as the eldest version of Frankie McCourt, but he could be very good for the show also!

Debbie's doing my head in more than usual. I've never liked her, she's always been one of my least favourite characters, I don't know what it is about her. She just really irritats me and I can't help but dislike her.
Right over to E4 now to see SHEILA in KILL BILL mode!!

And the post credits bit was one of the best ever!!! Mimi Maguire telling them all to shut the f**k up and get some sleep or she'll be round there!!! haha!
Next weeks episode looks great.
Big shock though - the billing on the credits - Rebecca Ryan (Debbie) getting top billing! The kind of thing I pick up on. Didn't catch the rest, but noticed the kids were at the top, Frank was like 5th or 6th.
I agree with lisa - definitely seen it return to its best - for the FIRST time since she left I didn't miss Fiona at all surprisingly! Nor Kev and Veronica!

i agree great start to series 4 (much better than 3 ) will miss kev and veronica tho but im sure the maguires will be just as good hope we see more of jez karen and lilian
