I think the reason why ian is in the background a little bit because they know they can get story lines out of him, but they need to move him over slighty to get the overall series story line sorted. Hopefully everything is nearly slotting in to place and we will see him more storyline wise.

Not impressed so far, it seems to have changed slightly, could it be because of guest writers on the show..
In the last series The Maguires seemed a force to be reckoned with, now they seem to comical.

And why have they brought back Monica, even so they have totally miscast there .. Shame really

Guest writers would explain it - the majority of you lot are completely mad - it is completely unrecognisable fom series 1 and 2 - its not funny anymore and the maguires are terrible - not funny and boring - Kev and V next door or the maguires??? if the producers could not get the best characters to renew contracts they should not have made another series which is simply ruining a previously great program. Kev, V and Sheila were the 3 funniest characters. Its gone from superb comedy drama to average drama. If anyone disagrees go back and watch series 1 and 2 on dvd and see how good it was compared to now. Every episode was inventive and funny with serious sides to it. Now its the same every week with no fun.

I have to agree with steveshameless, that its gone downhill after series 2. No program can afford to lose main characters at the rate they are doing

Just on a different note,

1)didnt kev ad veronica actually buy their house, so the mcguires wudnt ave been able to move in so easily.
2) How do you get a passport for a dead person?

i thought they'd brought the house too, but wasn't 100% sure. and i think its true that the show couldn't afford to lose its main characters, but i think the writers have managed to do a good job at trying to work things out. worked out well i think anyway

oh and i dont think you can get a passport for a dead person :P lol but on tv you can do anything xD

For christ sakes ! I wasn't going to be this direct, but you people saying it has gone downhill are insane...not accepting the changes made and constantly notaligally looking at steve, fiona, kev and v ! get over it. It is picking up again by the third episode, and by the fourth i bet you now the plot is sorted, all will be fine.
