hey everyone, i onli watch the last 20 mins on the last epi in series 3, but i have bin watchin the repeat and i think that it is amazin. i am gettin series 1 & 2 on dvd 4 easter, but i was just wondering which series is the so far?

By the way series 4 starts on the 2nd jan 07 apparently, and they start filmin it in july 06

I loved series 2 the best, I think maybe because that's the first series I watched, and got so into it that I bought the first on dvd.

i liked series 2 the best.it's probably because i havent seen all of series 3.

i liked them all because i got best a few best episodes in each series

i think they r all brilliant but i would say the 3rd series is the best.

I think series 1 has been the best as it has all the original shameless feeling to it if that makes sense lol, series 2 was equally as good but series 3 was a little bit of a let down to me coz anne marie wasnt in it

First two series were great but third although watchable was not up to standard.

Hi guys, I've been checking these forums out for months and months but have only just got my account working.
In my opinion series 2 was the best, followed very closely by series 1.
Series 3, whilst good, didn't feel consistent and a little bit all over the place. The writing, and characters in particular, were a bit choppy changy, and I think there was a bit too much focus on characters which personally didn't appeal to me, namely Sue.
The biggest criticism about series 3, however, was the lack of Fiona. I really felt it, and if you watch series 1 and 2 and THEN watch series 3 like I did, you feel the void big time, at least I think so.
Fiona was the heart and soul of not only the show but the family, and I think it really suffers without her.
I really went into series 3 with a completely open mind but just didn't enjoy it as much as the first or second series.
And personally I think it is just Fiona, I think the episodes Fiona was in without steve in series 2 were just as good.

Series 1 had the advantage of being totally fresh. It was the first of a completely new and different TV experience. It was great!

Series 2 built on this. It also had the advantage of having the most episodes of any series so far. I thought it was even better.

Series 3, in my opinion made a weak start but, again in my opinion, episodes 3, 4, 6 and 7 were a match for anything which went before and the series did have a happy ending, compared to Series 2

so, overall, I think I must vote for Series 2

i loved all 3 but if i have 2 choose it wud be series 2

oh god thats hard...i loved series 1...but i also loved series 2 and 3 cus carl was in it more! they are all the best though all the series!

I think series two....its not as new as series 3, and not as old as 1 !!! lol
but honestly it seems to have the best comedy/drama blend, and Frank's character is expanded/seen more, and there are so many more classic moments, andthe christmas special was mint !
just a fantastic, and brilliant series
