I believe that the quality and randomness of the plots has gone down- I mean SURELY keeping Norma waiting etc. because Americans want to see a married couple stay married PECULIAR!

Question:
Has Shameless gone downhill in an attempt to pander to American tastes since it was sold to BBCA?

Choices:
Yes.
Maybe.
No.

BBC America aired series 1 years ago, so how can they have been at fault for the changers??
Do you think Channel 4 has any input into what goes into Ugly Betty or DEsperate Housewives??
They buy the show as it it and have no input at all.
I personally think this series is a vast improvement on last yeasr, which was rubbish.

I thought with the extra 8 eps in this series the plots would go downhill. I was very wrong, the writers are still delivering fab stories and funny one liners. Series 5 for me is much better than series 3 & 4

Not at all - it is irrelevant. As dave and shaun say; series 5 is top notch!

I live in America and BBC America doesn't play Shameless. I just checked their website and it's not on there.

It only comes on the Sundance Channel and tonight is the last episode of season 2. This is a new episode for us, so we're way behind you guys.

It's a great show! I love it.
