SCOTS movie star James McAvoy has revealed he has married his actress girlfriend Anne-Marie Duff in secret.
The Hollywood actor stunned fans by admitting he wed the pretty 36-year-old blonde last month.
The Razz exclusively revealed in May that the couple - who met on the set of successful Channel 4 series Shameless - were to wed.
Now James, originally from Drumchapel, Glasgow, has told how the pair - who have been dating for three years - tied the knot in a private ceremony.
But he was guarded about the details of their nuptials, refusing to reveal the venue or where they would be heading on honeymoon.
Speaking as he promoted new film The Last King Of Scotland, McAvoy, 27, paid tribute to his "beautiful wife".
James, who lives in London with Anne-Marie, said: "We got married three weeks ago when I got back from the Toronto Film Festival.
"I can't tell you where, it's a place people go to marry quietly, where you won't be recognised.
James plays the Scots doctor of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, played by Forrest Whittaker, in his film. In the past, he has said he doesn't know if he's ready for global fame.
He said: "I'm a very private person and I like to keep it private. "
His next role is as Keira Knight-ley's lover in Atonement, due for release in December next year.
"I'm not telling you where the honeymoon is either. I'm not mad."
