Having watched the New years special, I thought that it was a major dissapointment as I love my Shameless and I think that it reall y has been spoiled by the departure of Fiona. But the second episode that has just been on e4 was far better and I really enjoyed it. So hopefully it is hust a case of the bad feature lenght episode as I also am not too keen on the series 2 special. What I do wanna know though is where are the coppers (cant remember their names, the bald one and the one that fancied Fiona) and I wanted to see Fiona's ex, hopefully they will be in later episodes as somehow the show doesnt feel the same.

I thought the episode was okay, but like most I thought the E4 episode was much better. I love the episodes that focus on Ian & Lip more. But, I do miss Fiona.
It was okay, good but not up to usual for a series starter. And i really really really felt fiona's abscence.
""And they swam and they swam right into my dam..." - Sue, Green Wing, series 2 - episode 1.

I agree, I love Marty and am pleased that he was shown more in the 2nd epi, that had me in stitches, I thought that their Mother and girlfriend would be in it a bit more to be honest. ,aybe they will be in later episodes.
I didn't think I liked Fiona until I watched last nights episode and it really misses her. I wasn't very impressed with the first episode, hope it gets better!
I thought it was okay, but the story wasn't strong enough for a feature-length episode. Better than last year's XMAS story, as that was basically a pantomime. All the cast were on fine form - the new Liam was adequate, and though he had a few more lines this time, it wasn't anything stretching. I'm sure Joseph could have handled it.
I agree with everyone else the second episode was much better - great writing and acting from Jody and Gerard. I think the hour format suits the show best.
i think dat last nites shameless woz ded quiet but i wotchd next weeks on e4 straight after the 1st show ad finished n belive me thing r getin interestin
