did Carl get a job at the shop at the end of ep 12? i dont know how i missed that. I was also confused about where the Karib's live. If the Maguire's live to the right of the Gallaghers then the Karib's must live to the right of the Maguires. it looked like it was the opposite when Mimi and Yvonne were going at each other in epsiode 13.

Carl seemingly joined the army despite Frank telling him he might be epileptic. I also wonderd about where the Karib's live - I don't remember them living on the same street as the Gallagher's and Maguire's, yet they seemed to be neighbours in this episode! Can anyone shed any light on this?
The Karib's (a derelict in series 1, Steve and Fiona's house from series 2 on) is in the middle. Then it's the Maguires (Kev and Veronica's old place).

And Yvonne and the kids moved into the middle house in ep 8 of series 4. Carol had been living there rent-free but after the Kash business Yvonne needed a place and had money. The hole in the wall was fixed up between series 4 and 5.
