that old abc thread reflected history and the first games in outer pomgolia
poms have always struggled to get the outright, esp when relying on their own members...the last battle or cricket match they contested without the help of imports (eg saffies, zimbos, 2nd gens from the subi or caribbean) was when they threw stones at the vikings (they missed )
