Don't be mean. The Poms need something to grasp on to right now.

Come on now, Nasty, brutish and sh*t, I'm only looking for the silver lining. What do you want us to say? "Yeah, we're losing all the time, let's just kill ourselves"?
The thing is, over the years we've become quite used to losing so it doesn't hurt as much as it does Aussies when they lose. What's more, when we occasionally turn the tables, like in '05, it feels twice as good. However, I know you want England fans to mind losing more than they do, so I'm happy to pretend if it helps you get your rocks off. Just tell me what to post and I'll type it in.

You've completely missed the point. Have a little think about it and then get back to us.

Of all the main cricketing nations, only England have managed to win a match in the last 24 hours. In fact, so far this week they have won 100 percent of their games.

Oh I don't know- even in their recent matches with Australia they've managed to come at least second. Silver medal's not to be sniffed at.

ROFL...the perpetual runner up line is the standard joke for cricket in developing cricket countries such as yours...you also came second to Caesar's troops when they introduced cricket to the tailender island

Horrie, are you referring to history or that thread on the old ABC forum about Romans v Poms.

If history I think you'll find that the Poms at least took first innings points.

Socrates, Solzhentsyn, David Hicks and now any Aussie.

qmy

that old abc thread reflected history and the first games in outer pomgolia Wink

poms have always struggled to get the outright, esp when relying on their own members...the last battle or cricket match they contested without the help of imports (eg saffies, zimbos, 2nd gens from the subi or caribbean) was when they threw stones at the vikings (they missed Moon)

No, but they did invent warm beer which kind of led directly on to hurling.
