To prove what? The overall stats for all nations pretty much show who is good and who isn't.

I know we have a "pretty good record" and I'm not trying to prove otherwise. I am showing the West Indies are a weak side and beating them 10-0 would prove nothing. What the stats show is England are pretty strong at home, pretty ordinary away and that is good enough to be second best.
It seems some people on here simply won't accept that easy wins over the West Indies prove nothing, that may not include you, but when people pick and choose which stats they accept without question and others they dismiss as being in some way misrepresentative then it only further proves people choose what they want to believe.

I may pull out the relevant stats but since they're not losing to them then that leaves only two other results

Same with NZ - we beat them 3-0 whilst India didn't beat them in the same period at home.
Those India Tests were played in West Indies and. We drew at home last time against India, what does singling that out prove?
And Pakistan won 2-0 last time out with a draw in the other Test, the 1-1 series draw was back in 04/05 and only a two Test series. Pakistan we know are highly unpredictable. We beat them 3-0 here and they beat us 2-0 over there
I am curious why you're so determined to TRY and prove stats wrong, probably because you think in some way I'm trying to prove England are rubbish (which I'm not and the stats don't show that) You're normally a rationale forummer, for some reason my highlighting this series was no more impressive than a Liverpool vs Watford home win has in some way provoked a different you
