Yeh i dont think the other two have been playing nearly as long as kenya have to earn test status, after what kenya showed they would do in the 2003 cup, i think they should get it if any new team was do get it
Lex: I know you, you've stolen from me before Bart: I want a lawyer Lex: And I want a ponytail....dissapointment abounds BRILLIANT
We don't need another "Test playing nation", not until the ICC sorts out the mess of ten teams of which at least two and maybe even a third and fourth aren't good enough. Make a proper championship, open the trap door and drop Bungledash and the Zimmers along with the wet and windies and maybe even the NZers into a second tier and THEN promote Ireland, Holland, Scotland, Kenya, Canada or Bermuda to Test status.
But the ICC won't, wouldn't want to upset the existing nations and the comfort zone with all the TV money. When India and Pakistan do finally pull out of the ICC to play T20 and ODIs and not Tests then maybe they'll act, the structure of cricket at the moment is a joke. I've almost completely lost interest, just one series after another with no beginning or end and a whole load of ODIs and quickslogs thrown in to make sure the ££££s roll in.
And it should have been Kenya not Bungledash, we've plenty of Asian Test nations but Africa could do with a boost given the size of the continent. Even making Canada a Test nation or some South American country would do more to globalise cricket. Sadly politics did for Zimbabwe, maybe Kenya should fill in since Zimbabwe are only being toured reluctantly at the moment because the ICC are bullies when it comes to anyone but the Asian boards
