Saw on BigFooty that the players are voting on Shield/Franger teams of the season at the state awards. I'll have a go at the teams.

Shield: Rogers, Di Venuto, Hodge, Katich, Hussey, Haddin, McDonald, Bichel, Noffke, Heal, Hilfenhaus
Franger: Klinger, Elliott, Hodge, Perren, White, Haddin, Hopes, Harwood, Hauritz, Hilfenhaus, Tait

Voges stiff to miss out on both teams.

NSW have won too many.

Tasmania should win it's first shield if they don't get stagefright like QLD used to do until they won their first.

No one is interested in the game. I hope it rains non-stop for a week.
If that's what it takes to get our first Shield, I'll take it.
Not like I'll be able to see any of the game, anyway.

I don't know about 'fever' but there is some anticipation in the air. Probably would have been better if they could have played over a weekend so most people would get a chance to see some of it.

N.B. I was also hoping it would rain non-stop in Brisbane between the 24th & 28th of March, 1995.

Aye, seems odd programming. Assume it had something to do with Foxsports weekend commitments.

Basically means I'll probably get to see bugger all of the world’s premier (non-Test) First Class match.

Looks like I'm right, again!!!!

Fox said "We can telecast it, but we can only telecast from Monday to Friday because we have got commitments on the weekend"...

Will Tasmania win their first ever Shield?

Will Stuart Macgill be able to bowl NSW to victory?

Will Simon Katich be fit for the game?

Will anyone at all turn up to the ground to watch it over the 4 days?

So many questions to be answered.

Tas have announced their squad for the final. Marsh & Griffiths have returned from injury which will no doubt cause some consternation for the selectors. The squad is:
Dan Marsh (Captain)
George Bailey (Vice-captain)
Travis Birt
Luke Butterworth
Sean Clingeleffer
Michael Dighton
Michael Di Venuto
Brendan Drew
Adam Griffith
Ben Hilfenhaus
Jason Krejza
Tim Paine
Damien Wright
